These Terms and Conditions apply to all bookings, tours, events and services provided by Tuk Madeira City Tours.

By booking a tour or using our services, the customer agrees to the terms described below.

Services

Tuk Madeira City Tours provides guided tuk tuk tours, sightseeing experiences, private tours and event services in Madeira Island, mainly in Funchal and surrounding areas.

Our tours may include historic streets, viewpoints, gardens, traditional villages, cultural landmarks and other points of interest in Madeira.

Bookings

Bookings can be made through our website, by phone, email, contact form or through third-party booking platforms.

A booking is only confirmed after confirmation from Tuk Madeira City Tours or the booking platform used.

Customers are responsible for providing correct contact details, number of passengers, preferred date, time and pick-up location.

Prices and payments

Tour prices are shown on the website, booking platform or communicated directly by Tuk Madeira City Tours.

Prices may vary depending on the tour, number of passengers, duration, season, private requests or event requirements.

Payment conditions will be confirmed at the time of booking.

Pick-up and meeting point

Pick-up may be available in selected areas, depending on the tour and previous agreement.

Customers must be ready at the agreed pick-up point at the confirmed time. Delays may reduce the tour duration or may be considered a no-show.

For cruise passengers, specific pick-up rules or additional terminal fees may apply when required by port regulations.

Passengers and safety

Customers must follow the safety instructions provided by the driver/guide during the tour.

Children must be accompanied by an adult.

The tuk tuk has limited passenger capacity. The maximum number of passengers and weight limits must be respected for safety reasons.

Tuk Madeira City Tours reserves the right to refuse service if passengers do not follow safety instructions, behave inappropriately, or if the service cannot be carried out safely.

Tour route and duration

Tour routes and durations are approximate and may vary due to traffic, weather conditions, road closures, local events or other circumstances outside our control.

Tuk Madeira City Tours may adjust the route when necessary to ensure customer safety and comfort.

Cancellations and refunds

Customers will receive a full refund or credit if the cancellation is made up to 48 hours before the start of the activity.

For cancellations made less than 48 hours before the activity, a 50% refund will be issued.

Customers will also receive a full refund or credit in the event of cancellation by the operator due to weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances.

Weather conditions

Tours may be affected by weather conditions. In case of rain, strong wind, unsafe road conditions or other weather-related issues, Tuk Madeira City Tours may change, postpone or cancel the tour.

Customer safety will always be the priority.

Attractions, tickets and third-party services

Some tours may pass by or stop near attractions, gardens, museums, cable cars, toboggans, restaurants or other services.

Entrance tickets, meals, drinks or third-party services are not included unless clearly stated in the tour description.

Tuk Madeira City Tours is not responsible for delays, closures, price changes or availability of third-party services.

Customer responsibility

Customers are responsible for their personal belongings during the tour.

Tuk Madeira City Tours is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged personal items.

Customers may be responsible for any damage caused intentionally or through negligence to the tuk tuk or equipment.

Photos and media

Photos or videos may be taken during tours or events for promotional purposes only with customer consent.

Customers may request that images of them are not used for marketing or social media.

Liability

Tuk Madeira City Tours will take all reasonable measures to provide a safe and enjoyable experience.

However, the company is not responsible for delays, route changes, cancellations, accidents or losses caused by circumstances outside its control, including weather, traffic, road closures, strikes, public events or force majeure situations.
